Types of Virtual Reality (VR)

VR combines the benefits of both live and virtual events with the convenience and safety provided by traditional GFAI. Virtual reality can be used for both entertainment and research purposes, because it offers a wide variety of content, including games, movies, television shows, music videos, photos, video games, and interactive experiences.

The future of events is in the metaverse.

Virtual reality has become a staple of the gaming world in Singapore, with companies capitalizing on its potential as an immersive media experience. This article lists the five types of virtual reality.

Fully-Immersive VR: When you think of virtual reality, you probably envision a fully immersive experience complete with head-mounted displays, headphones, gloves, and possibly a treadmill or some kind of suspension apparatus. This type of VR is commonly used for gaming and other forms of entertainment in VR arcades or even at home (empty, non-fragile room advised.)

Semi-Immersive VR: When most people think of VR, they envision fully immersive systems like the HTC Vive or Oculus Quest. Semi-immersive VR, in contrast to these technologies, provides users with a mix of real and virtual interactive elements. The traditional application of semi-immersive VR is 4-D movies, but the technology is now primarily used for education.

Non-immersive VR: Non-immersive virtual reality is a computer-based virtual experience in which you can control some characters or activities within the software but the environment does not interact with you directly. When you play video games like World of Warcraft, for example, you can control characters within the game who have their own animations and attributes.

Collaborative VR: This is a type of virtual world in which people from various locations can interact within a virtual environment, usually in the form of 3D or projected characters. For example, there is a video game called PUBG (Players Unknown Battlegrounds) in which hundreds of players appear as individual virtual characters that they can control. They can communicate with each other using microphones, headsets, and chatting. Mixed Reality: The concept of mixed reality is one of the most recent advances in VR (MR). In that it combines virtual and real elements, MR is similar to AR. In contrast to AR, the virtual components in MR interact with the real world, resulting in a genuinely affected VR experience. People can use MR to interact with 3D holograms in comfortable physical environments such as their living rooms by using technology such as the Microsoft HoloLens.
